De EPSON TOYOCOM CORPORATION is op 1 oktober 2005 ontstaan uit de fusie van de Quartz Device Operations Division van de SEIKO EPSON CORPORATION (Seiko Epson) en TOYO COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT CO. LTD. (Toyocom), met als doel een ruim aanbod aan kwartsproducten voor industriële en consumentenapplicaties en het uitgroeien tot global player. Het portfolio omvat kwartselementen op het gebied van timing, sensing en optical in de productcategorieën kristal (AT, stemvork), resonatoren (SAW), oscillatoren (SP/VC/TC/OC-XOs, alsmede diverse andere oscillatorvarianten), RTCs (serieel en parallel), filters (MCF, SAW), sensoren (gyro, temperatuur en druk) en optische componenten (filters, prisma’s, enz.)
